"Scandal" is set to premiere its sixth season on Jan. 19. The premiere episode is entitled "Survival of the Fittest." It will air some episodes that are ahead of the election night. The creators and producers of the show have not yet revealed anything about the election results but it can be seen in the poster tagline that there will be a lot of changes and shift in the balance of power. It will focus more on the fate of Olivia Pope and the rest of her crew.

For the upcoming season, Shonda Rhimes reveals that Olivia Pope (Kerry Washington) might lose some of her power in the office. Despite the said news, Pope will be happier and hopeful this season. Another spoiler is that there will be an addition to the “Scandal” cast and that is Zoe Perry.

TV Guide reports about what would be expected from the different scenes of season 6 and one of which is Jake’s (Scott Foley) new wife. Another exciting scene is a family affair and reunion that will happen because of a recurring character. The trailer is also interesting to watch since it shows an explosion in a certain cabin which makes the viewers wonder what really would happen in the upcoming season. Aside from that, there is also a hospital scene featuring Liv and Abby (Darby Stanchfield).

The show has also confirmed that after season 6, there is also "Scandal" season 7.

In the past season, the story ended with Pope, who won the presidential elections. Fans of the show are wondering how Trump's win in real life will play a toll in "Scandal" season 6.

“Scandal” is aired every Thursday at 9PM in Australia on the Seven Network.
