“Scandal” Season 4 has not focussed much on Olivia Pope (Kerry Washington) and President Fitzgerald Grant (Tony Goldwyn) as a couple. These two haven’t had many intimate interactions this season. Now, the latest promo of “Scandal” Season 4 episode 19, titled “I’m Just a Bill,” says that taking down daddy could be the end for the “twistiest couple.”

Rowan Pope (Joe Morton) returned at the end of episode 18. Olivia was shocked to see him standing at her door with Franklin Russell (Brian White), the new mystery man in her life. With David Rosen (Joshua Malina), Jake (Scott Foley) and team planning to take down B-613, it was very much expected that Rowan would return to stop them from doing so. And he has shown in the past that he can be a real monster when it comes to protecting his organisation and himself. The promo suggests that he will target Fitz to stop Olivia, David and Jake. He can be seen saying, “your hatred for me so great that you’re willing to tear him down, too.”

Meanwhile, Cornelius Smith Jr is returning to reprise his role as activist Marcus Miller. He made his first appearance in episode 14 of “Scandal” Season 4, titled “The Lawn Chair.” A sneak peek shows that he has called Olivia and her associates, Huck (Guillermo Diaz) and Quinn (Katie Lowes), to the mayor’s house. In the sneak peek, Olivia finds him sitting beside a bed, with blood on his hands. She and Quinn figure out that the blood-soaked body in the bed is of mayor’s wife. The scene gives the impression that it is Marcus who might have committed the crime. However, according to spoilers, Marcus seeks Olivia’s help to find out the real culprit. There are speculations that Marcus is likely to join Olivia Pope & Associates as a gladiator.

There are total 22 episodes in “Scandal” Season 4. The episode 20 is titled “First Lady Sings the Blues.” The episode will see Mellie landing in trouble, as the people are going to turn against her. According to the synopsis of the episode, it is Cyrus who will come to her rescue. The team who is taking down B-613 will be in serious danger and the synopsis says that they will have to take “drastic measures to ensure their safety.”
