Celebrity contestant Suzanne Somers of “Dancing With The Stars” Season 20 got the boot on Week 5 of the show. The 68-year-old’s jazz to “He’s a Tramp” number from the movie “Lady and the Tramp” though got her a score of 28, but she and her pro partner Tony Dovolani were ousted from the show. In fact the “Three’s Company” star knew what was coming her way, especially after her poor performance in Week 4.

“I'm not bummed out. We kind of suspected it today,” said the “3 Way Poncho”. She added that she was 68 but after DWTS happened to her she was more fit. She said that she doesn’t feel that she looks 68 and doesn’t feel that way also. She sent out a strong message here saying that if a person takes good care of herself, she can accomplish anything and everything.

But she said that with every passing week on DWTS, she was just getting pushed out of her comfort zone. It was a constant struggle for her to be up to the mark of what her pro partner Tony was teaching her. She remembered how from day one Tony has warned her that he was choreographing for a 20-year-old girl and not for a 68-year-old. Those were the kind of dances that Suzanne did for five weeks of her stint on DWTS, according to E Online.

About Week 5 dance, the “Step by Step” star said that she never thought that her heel would get caught in the hem of her costume. But, at that time her partner told her to keep going with the dance and she just did that, but unfortunately the axe fell on the dancing duo for their performance on Week 4. Their “Three’s Company” foxtrot dedicated to her late co-star John Ritter also got them 28 points, but the judges were not too impressed.

Beside, Somers was disheartened and in a footage shown on April 13 she expressed her desire to quit the show to Tony. She even said that she was too lousy at it and hated it. For her final dance on the show, she was appreciated by the judges in spite of the costume disaster. The benefits of the show for Somers: she has shed all her body fat and now has a completely toned body, the credit for which she gives to Dovolani.

Her exit from DWTS is a boon for her, as she will get time to rehearse for her show “Suzanne Sizzles” in Las Vegas opening on May 23. In the one-woman nightclub show, Somers will perform songs and talk about her career. Besides, the sitcom star’s book “TOX-SICK: From Toxic to Not Sick” is scheduled for release soon. Tune in to ABC at 8 pm on Monday to watch the show.
