Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson seems to be in a lot of blockbuster movies lately. He was last seen in "Hercules" and is set to star in "Furious 7" (2015), "Moana" (2016) and "Shazam!" (2019). Aside from these films, he will also star as Ray in "San Andreas" with Carla Gugino as Emma. The official teaser trailer of "San Andreas" was released on Tuesday, Dec. 9, 2014 and it shows Hollywood crumbling apart due to a massive earthquake. Read on to learn more about it.

According to the Internet Movie Database, or IMDb, "San Andreas" is about a rescue-chopper pilot (Johnson) who tries to rescue his estranged daughter because she got stuck in California during a massive earthquake.

Warner Bros. Pictures, the film's distributor, posted a video of the "San Andreas" teaser trailer on its official YouTube channel. It shows terrifying scenes of California being destroyed by the earthquake as the people who live there scramble to get away from it as fast as they can. The Hollywood sign was even destroyed, along with buildings, roads and stadiums that are demolished and torn apart.

As of this writing, the official teaser trailer of "San Andreas" that was posted on YouTube has been viewed 2,676,712 times. 7,579 viewers gave it the thumbs up, while 1,117 viewers gave it the thumbs down.

"San Andreas" shows the magnitude 9 earthquake that hits California after the San Andreas Fault finally gives. It will depict the devastating effect of this force of nature. It will also show an estranged couple coming together and risking their lives to save their daughter who is in San Francisco. Aside from Johnson and Gugino, it also stars Alexandra Daddario (Blake), Archie Panjabi (Serena), Ioan Gruffudd (Daniel Reddick), Art Parkinson (Ollie), Hugo Johnstone-Burt (Ben) and Paul Giamatti.

"San Andreas" is directed by Brad Peyton and written by Allan Loeb, Andre Fabrizio, Carlton Cuse, Carey Hayes, Chad Hayes and Jeremy Passmore. It will be released in 2D and 3D in U.S. and UK theatres on May 29, 2015.
