Samsung's 2015 flagship, the Galaxy S6, has been the rumour mill's favourite topic for quite some time now. There is a truckload of rumours surrounding the specifications and design of the upcoming device. According to a recent leak, the Samsung Galaxy S6 release date is slated for Q2 2015. The same leak also points to two key features of the handset.

Unlike other Samsung devices that are predominantly made of plastic/polycarbonate materials, the Galaxy S6 will entirely be made of aluminium, says GSM Arena. It is worth pointing out that the upcoming device will not house a metal frame, seen in the Samsung Galaxy Note 4, to give a metallic look. Instead, the device will reportedly have a full metal construction, seen in Galaxy A line of devices.

Aside from the premium-looking aluminium construction, reports also say that the Galaxy S6 will feature bent-glass display. Notably, the bent-glass display will not only be part of one side of the handset, like the Galaxy Note Edge, but also on both sides of the handset. Earlier rumours also pointed to two versions of the Galaxy S6, one being the flat, regular flagship version and the other will reportedly be akin to the Galaxy Note Edge. But then, with the current report, there is no information on the regular Galaxy S6 model. This means, the curved limited-edition version of the Galaxy S6 may not be a separate entity. Instead, the flagship device will come with the curved display on the sides, opines the same site.

In case, the two S6 versions indeed come true, one of the variants will reportedly be powered by Samsung's own Exynos 7 processor, while the other variant will use Qualcomm's Snapdragon 810 processor. Whatever the case may be, the upcoming Samsung flagship does look like the device to watch out for in 2015.

Other rumoured Samsung Galaxy S6 features include a Quad HD display with 1,440 x 2,560 pixels screen resolution. The camera unit could be either one of 16 MP or 20 MP, as there is no confirmation at this point. Plus, there will also be a solid 5 MP front-facing shooter unit for selfies, says Phone Arena.

To top it off, a reliable source says, the Samsung Galaxy S6 will not debut at the CES event, scheduled for January 2015, as claimed by earlier rumours. Instead, the handset will see the light of the day only in the second quarter of 2015. And to be precise, April could be the exact month, says GSM Arena.
