With Apple Watch release date nearing close, some of the significant details of the smartwatch has been revealed. Apple is reportedly planning to release a $30,150 priced version of the Apple Watch, studded with diamonds and sapphire. Notably, diamonds are one of the hardest materials available on the planet Earth. And this is followed by the now-famous sapphire glass, seen in high-end smartphone displays. Meaning, the upcoming Apple Watch will house both the hardest materials to up the ante and hence, the epic price tag.

The sapphire and diamond-clad $30,150 (i.e. AU$36987 and 19180 GBP) version of the Apple Watch will come with eight rows of "high-grade 15 carat diamonds" on the luxury edition of the smartwatch. This smartwatch also features the sapphire glass display for added protection, according to Phone Arena.

Furthermore, the high-quality diamonds studded in this watch are graded E/F in colour and VS1/VS2 in clarity, by the Gemological Institute of America (aka GIA). In addition, the upcoming smartwatch will reportedly use 18 K rose gold frame, in addition to the aforesaid materials. Notably, the person responsible for this luxury edition Apple Watch is Mervis Diamond, the famed jeweller who was responsible for the bejewelled version of the OG Apple iPad. The OG Apple iPad was priced at a thumping $20,000 back when it was released in 2010.

Potential buyers can check out the image of the flashy luxury edition Apple Watch and pre-order the same from the jeweller Mervis Diamond. However, the gadget will reportedly reach the door steps only during June 2015 time-frame. On the other hand, the exact/official Apple Watch release date is unknown at this point. Hence, the chances of change in the promised shipment date cannot be overlooked, at this point.

Interestingly, with the flashy luxury edition, Apple seems to have concentrated predominantly on the fashion side of the smartwatch. Thereby, the company has created a niche market, instead of following the already set trend of technology-centric smartwatches. But then, the Apple Watch is being marketed as both tech- and fashion-centric gadget, by making the device appealing to both tech-geeks and the fashionistas. Meanwhile, readers looking for moderately priced Apple Watch can wait for the $349 base version or the $5,000 gold version of the smartwatch, notes CNet.
