The sales of Galaxy S5 did not help the South Korean manufacturer make good revenue but now tech enthusiasts are focused on its successor smartphone - the Galaxy S6, which is poised to arrive early in 2015. A probable Samsung Galaxy S6 variant with model number SM-G925 along with its specs have been found on the AnTuTu benchmark site.

PhoneArena claims that the official name of the successor handset for Galaxy S5 is not known but the tech world is now referring to it as the Galaxy S6. The Samsung Galaxy S6 specifications have been revealed through a leaked image by Chinese website CNMO.

According to the leaked screenshot, the Samsung Galaxy S6 features a 5.5-inch Quad HD resolution which means it will support a display resolution of 2,560 x 1,440 pixels. The handset will be driven by a 64-bit Exynos 7420 octa-core processor along with Mali-T760 graphics and 3 GB of RAM.

The Samsung Galaxy S6 SM-G925F will come with Android 5.0 Lollipop onboard. The internal storage of the device is listed as 32 GB. The rear camera of the Galaxy S6 is of 20 MP and there is a front-facing camera of 5 MP.

GSMArena highlights that the Mali-T760 graphics is the same one that is available on the Exynos 5433 chipset present on the Galaxy Note 4. It says that Samsung is likely to roll out a Snapdragon edition too. Since there are multiple issues with the new Snapdragon 810 processor that is rumoured to power up the Galaxy S6, Samsung may first roll out Exynos variant. The Snapdragon 810 chipset includes an octa-core processor and Adreno 430 graphics.

As far as the looks of the Galaxy S6 is concerned, the smartphone is poised to arrive with a refreshing new appearance as the South Korean giant is said to be working on a redesigning project called the Project Zero, states PhoneArena. The handset may come out with metal elements on its chassis like the Galaxy Note 4, Galaxy Alpha and the Galaxy A5. Also, Samsung is also going to launch a variant of Galaxy S6 with a curved display which will be released as Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge. As of now, there is no confirmation on Galaxy S6 release date.
