The rumour mill has now started about the supposed features of the Samsung Galaxy Note 6. Early speculations suggest that it will be sporting a waterproof chassis and it will also feature an iris scanner.

The Galaxy S5 came with water resistant chassis. However, the feature is unavailable on Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge smartphones that sport revamped design. Samsung brought back the IP68 certification on the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge smartphones. Rumors are rife that Galaxy Note 6 will feature a IP68 certified water-resistant chassis, Sam Mobile reported.

The South Korean tech company is speculated to be testing Galaxy Note 6 smartphone. Citing import database, the publication has further revealed that the iris scanner is one of the features of the Galaxy Note 6. Apart from Microsoft Lumia 950 and 950 XL smartphones that came out in October 2015, no other smartphone from major brands come with an iris scanner feature.

The Galaxy Note 6 release date is still under the wraps. In September this year, Apple will release the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus smartphones. Hence, rumors are suggesting that like last year Samsung will avoid the release of the phablet in September this year

The Samsung Galaxy Note 6 will come preloaded with Android N OS. The Android N is currently available to Nexus devices for testing. Its final version is expected to roll out by July this year. Hence, the Galaxy Note 6 release date rumors hint that it will be announced as early as July or August this year.

The Note 6 is speculated to arrive with a 5.8-inch display. It is expected to feature a Snapdragon 820 and 6 GB of RAM. The phablet is rumored to be available in internal storage options of 64 GB, 128 GB and 256 GB. Other speculated features include microSD card support, 12-megapixel and 5-megapixel rear and front cameras, and an improved S-Pen stylus.
