The Samsung Galaxy Note 6 rumours have started swirling, and its purported specifications have been revealed by a leakster called HQ Vision on Weibo.

According to Mobi Picker, which cites information from the tipster, the display of the Galaxy Note 6 will be larger, slimmer and brighter than that of the Galaxy Note 5. The Note 6 is said to be arriving with a slim RGB display that will feature a 5.8-inch Quad HD screen. All previous Note series phablets have featured 5.7-inch or smaller displays.

The Galaxy Note 6 is also speculated to be available in Snapdragon and Exynos chipsets for different markets, and could be the first ever smartphone to feature 6 GB of RAM. The phablet will be available in 64 GB as well as 128 GB storage editions. It will also carry support for a microSD card slot, a feature that is absent on the Galaxy Note 5. Phone Arena reported.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 6 will be packed with a 12 MP rear shooter that will be powered by the Super OIS Plus feature, which is equipped with a 5-axis image stabilisation system. The camera setup is rumoured to be arriving on the Samsung Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge smartphones, which are pegged to be officially revealed on Feb. 21.

There is no information available on the S-Pen for Galaxy Note 6 but it is likely to arrive with performance improvements. The leakster did not reveal any details about the battery capacity of the upcoming phablet.

The design of the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge is quite similar to predecessor models, the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge, and it is expected that the Galaxy Note 6 will not appear too different from the Galaxy Note 5. The Galaxy Note 6 release date is expected sometime in August this year.
