The Samsung Galaxy Note 5, according to Samsung HD Blog, will have an S Pen. The Galaxy Note 5 Edge, on the other hand, will not feature one, as stated by Sam Mobile.

It was previously reported that the Galaxy Note 5 Edge will be the Korean tech giant’s new flagship phablet. However, since reports of the device not featuring an S Pen have made their rounds on the Internet, the tides have changed. Now, reports are saying that Samsung’s upcoming flagship phablet will be the Galaxy Note 5.

The Galaxy Note 5 Edge, now referred to internally as Project Zero 2, formerly called Project Zen, is actually going to be released as the Galaxy S6 Plus, according to iDigitalTimes. Since it is part of the S series and not the Note line of Samsung products, it will understandably not feature an S Pen. Being part of the S family of smartphones, it will reportedly look like a larger variant of the Galaxy S6 Edge.

Samsung usually launches its Note units during the yearly IFA event. This year, the IFA Berlin 2015 will start on Sept. 4 and will end on Sept. 9. Last year, the Galaxy Note 4 was launched at the IFA Berlin 2014. This has made avid Samsung users hopeful that the Galaxy Note 5 will be released around the same time as well.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 5, according to the report, has an internal code name of Project Noble. As the rumors have stated, the device will sport either a 2L or a 4K Super AMOLED screen, run on an octa-core Exynos 7422 processor, and, of course, have the device’s signature feature – the S Pen.

With regards to its specific display size, it remains unknown to this date, but since the Galaxy S6 Plus is rumored to sport a 5.5-inch screen, the Galaxy Note 5 just might have a screen that is around 5.-7 inches, or bigger.
