The Samsung Galaxy Note 5 has just been confirmed for a September release, much to the delight of those who have long been waiting for it to be out in the market. Sadly, however, the company’s upcoming flagship phablet will be out sans the Android M.

Apparently, Google was not able to complete it in time for the slated release date for the Korean tech giant’s upcoming phablet, which Samsung president Jong-kyun Shin has confirmed is more likely to be sometime in September, than July, according to Tech Times.

According to Vine Report, at the moment, the interface of the Galaxy Note 5 is already being tested using both Ultra HD and Quad HD. Plus, in lieu of the Qualcomm Snapdragon that can be found inside the Galaxy Note 4, this upcoming device will reportedly feature the Exynos all-in-one CPU. That said, it will reportedly have all the necessary elements, such as storage, GPU, RAM and modem – all in one single chip.

Consequently, the Android M will reportedly be out by early October, which means that the time frame for the Galaxy Note 5 will end up being overlapped. This makes it highly possible that the unit will be shipped with an older operating system.

With Samsung’s scheduled participation in the upcoming IFA Trade Fair, which has already been slated for September, fans are expecting that the company will be making any announcements by then. The event will start on September 4 and will end on September 9 – giving the Korean tech giant a lot of time to make any huge announcements regarding their plans in the next few months.

Units from other companies that are most likely going to turn out as the Galaxy Note 5’s biggest competitors in the market are the HTC One M9, the LG G4 and the Apple iPhone 6S.
