Two of today’s biggest tech companies have been head-to-head with their flagship devices ever since the age of smartphones began. Although both the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 and the iPhone 7 Plus have not been launched yet, based on the specs that have been confirmed so far, it would appear that the former beats the latter by a landslide.

Apple clearly already has a plan in place for the iPhone 7 Plus. Meanwhile, the Korean tech company will also be building up the succeeding device of the Note 4, which is speculated to be released sometime before the year ends.

Moreover, Conan Pierce, the vice president of Samsung UK’s IT and Mobile Division, has recently confirmed through Value Walk that the company will be concentrating on the Samsung Galaxy Note 5, with the same level of attention, design care, and resources that they imbued into the S series. Pierce’s remarks appear to hint that Samsung will soon be launching a revolutionary Note 5.

It has already been previously reported that the Note 5 will be the first smartphone to sport a 4K screen. However, new sources have claimed that it will also be the first smartphone to feature 4 GB of RAM and an advanced 4G LTE modem.

According to a report from Tech Times, the Korean tech company will be introducing new Ultra HD 3840 x 2160 pixel technology to their upcoming mobile devices. Plus, based on the data that was obtained from the presentation slides of Samsung’s Analyst Days project, the upcoming flagship smartphone will be released in two variants. The 5.78-inch version will be a dual-edge model, while the bigger 5.89-inch version will have a standard flat display.

When 2015 started, critics were quick to predict that Samsung will fade. The Korean company was able to redeem itself by releasing two flagship devices, re-establishing its spot in the industry. Samsung silenced its doubters when the S6 and the S6 Edge got a lot of positive critique – which is also expected of the Note 5 once it comes face-to-face with the iPhone 7 Plus, considering that the two are rumored to be launched around the same time.
