Samsung has decided to release its tablet Galaxy Note 5, after giving a leg up for its currently launched Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge. However, even now, the Note 5’s sibling Galaxy Note 4 stays ahead despite the fresh entrants from the tech giants, Apple, Google and Microsoft. The speculations of Note 5 have created a whirlpool of excitement among the Samsung fans, not just in the USA and UK rather throughout the world.

After a full year of intense buzz, Apple’s iPhone 6 and 6 Plus took the stage on 2014 September, with oodles of innovative features and turned out to be the top contender for Samsung’s most popular Galaxy Note family. It is high time we compare the rumoured features of Galaxy Note 5 against the Apple’s iPhone 6 Plus.

Display

Apple iPhone 6 Plus 5.5 inch Retina HD display complements the 1080x1920 pixel resolution, at 401ppi. Diverse guesses have been conceived about the forthcoming Galaxy Note 5, while Phonearena suggests that Note 5 is getting ready to feature a 6 inch display with Quad HD resolution in 2160x3840p, for better precision. Korea Herald presumes a curved display model, which is similar to its smash hit Galaxy S6 Edge.

Design

Apple iPhone 6 and 6 Plus utilize the gorgeous aluminum curves and stay with the status of the thinnest mobile in the market. Samsung has jumped to metal and glass finish for its flagships so that they look on par with iPhones, unlike its previous models. Although we are in the early phase of rumours, Galaxy Note 5 design is not completely revealed, yet the design is sure to challenge the top contenders including iPhone 6 Plus and will be a step ahead of Galaxy Note 4 and Note Edge.

Specs and Storage

iPhone 6 Plus is packed with dual core A8 processor, which is extremely efficient and powerful to offer excellent battery life. Galaxy Note 4 and Note Edge support Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 805 quad-core processor, while the Galaxy S6 family backup Exynos 7 octa-core chip with 4,100 mAh lithium polimer battery. Digitaltimes writes about using Qualcomm Snapdragon chips in Note5, while the Recode reports that Qualcomm plans to introduce next-gen snapdragon 820 processor for Samsung’s products.

Galaxy Note 5 is expected to have TypeC USB along with added storage option, unlike iPhone 6 series that do not include any MicroSD slot. Christiantoday expects 3D V-NAND technology for enhanced performance and strong memory.
