What to expect from the Galaxy Note 5 on release date this year? The arrival time for Samsung’s upcoming flagship is still months away but thankfully its maker has been generous in giving clues on how premium and stunning its 2015 phablet would be.

Add to that are the visualisations offered by Sammy fans. The latest is a device render that according to Concept Phones embodies monster specs and build that Samsung would be wise to pick up.

Gorgeous jumbo phone ever

But first, the official word from Samsung confirms that the Galaxy Note 5 indeed will make a landfall later in the year and like the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge before it will reflect a major departure from the previous models. One confirmed specification is the Super AMOLED panel that Samsung said will be of the curvy kind as seen in the S6 Edge.

Big but sexy and slim is the Note 5 if Samsung-provided clues are to be believed but how could one exactly picture the Note 4 successor. It is assumed that looking on the S6 Edge, one would get a solid preview of the what the device would be. Or more correctly, how Samsung would fashion out the Note 5 and outdo the Galaxy S6 Edge.

For the Note 5, the likely path that Samsung would take is simply mirror the best of the S6 Edge and just scale up everything. And that would entail the use of innovation and only the finest materials available in putting together the Galaxy Note 5, according to Samsung and as reported by BGR.

In a short YouTube clip, Samsung revealed that the S6 Edge body is a blend of “aerospace-aluminium and the hardest glass material available in the market.” That same front panel glass was bended and curved by use of superheating procedure that in recent reports would be further enhanced to achieve faster and higher yield and lower production cost.

Also integrated with the premium metal casing of the S6 Edge are diamond and ceramic grains. And it is safe to assume that in building the Galaxy Note 5 later this year, Samsung will replicate what it did with the S6 Edge.

Monster specs

On the inside, the Note 5 components are nothing short of spectacular. The phablet’s beastly capabilities would be highlighted by a near 6-inch flexible display that will double as splendour view finder for the 20-megapixel rear camera, according to the latest Note 5 renders picked up by Concept Phones.

The concept also dreams of a mobile screen in 4K resolution with pixel density of 785 pixels per inch or ppi. Internal storage starts at 64GB with a 128GB variant though unlike the S6 and S6 Edge, the Note 5 would allow memory expansion as proposed by the concept author.

And the device thickness is reduced to paper-thin 7.9mm. if Samsung would follows this model, it needs to make room for a mighty 4100mAh battery that the render maker wishes to slide in. But it is unclear if the removable back cover will make a comeback with the Note 5 following the slight uproar generated by the fixed rear plate on the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge.

The estimated time of arrival for the Galaxy Note 5 is shortly after the 2015 IFA Berlin show in early September. The actual release date, however, is likely anytime in October.
