Only recently, a news report stated that, the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note 5 will be called “Project Noble,” while the curved sibling Galaxy Note 5 Edge will be referred as “Project Zen.” But then, the South Korean tech giant has not confirmed the existence or release of these two devices for 2015. However, now, a latest news report affirms that, the Galaxy Note 5 Edge could be scheduled for this year.

According to Phone Arena, the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 Edge apparently made a visit to the HTML5test Website. Notably, the HTML5test site evaluates the compatibility of a specific browser with respect to HTML5. Therefore, by making a visit, it is now evident that the Galaxy Note 5 Edge is in testing and evaluation mode.

Apparently, the HTML5test measured Samsung browser 3.2 on a device named Samsung ZenZero and as mentioned earlier, “Zen” is the code name of the upcoming Edge variant. It is worth noting that, the Samsung browser apparently amassed a score of 503 points, which is reportedly a very high score. In comparison, the Google Nexus 5 handset using a Chrome 42 browser, running on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop OS tallied a score of 515 points, which is reportedly in line with the score of Pantech Vega Iron 2 with the browser Chrome 42 and Android 5.1.1 OS. In any case, readers should note that, Samsung has not acknowledged the existence of such a device, specifications or the browser score so far.

As far as the key Galaxy Note 5 Edge specifications go, the handset will reportedly flaunt curved glass display on both sides. Plus, the display configuration of the handset will either be 5.4-inch or 5.5-inch Super AMOLED screen. Under the hood, the smartphone will reportedly be powered by Samsung’s own Exynos 7422 SoC. This chip is touted to be one step ahead of the other versions, as this SoC apparently includes CPU, GPU, RAM, native storage and Samsung LTE modem bundled in an exclusive package. In the meantime, Phone Arena says, the new phablet will apparently sport a killer 4K screen resolution of 2,160 x 3,840 pixels. Needless to say, the 4K resolution combined with the effects of Super AMOLED display technology could turn out be a visual treat.
