It has been less than a year since Samsung released the Galaxy J5 and Galaxy J7 in the market, yet there are rumours of the launch of its successors. The Korean tech giant is speculated to unveil the upgraded versions of the Galaxy J5 and J7 for 2016. The latest official user manuals Samsung revealed key details about the features of the smartphones.

The user manuals of the upcoming smartphones for China Mobile and China Telecom are now available on Samsung’s website. The images display antenna slits of the frame, which is a mandatory requirement for metallic devices.

If rumours are to be believed, the Galaxy J5 (2016) and Galaxy J7 (2016) will be the first range of budget handsets from Samsung to feature a metallic frame. The user manuals also indicate that the smartphones might sport removable batteries and front-facing LED flash.

According to the manual , both the handsets will come with preloaded music player app. The documents also confirmed connectivity on both the Galaxy J5 (2016) and Galaxy J7 (2016), just like its original versions. However, the presence of NFC is likely to be market dependent.

Last month, the Samsung Galaxy J5 (2016) and Galaxy J7 (2016) passed TENAA, China’s telecom equipment certification authority, as reported by SamMobile. Both the devices have also successfully passed the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) and Bluetooth SIG certifications. This indicates the imminent launch of the smartphones.

Both the smartphones sport AMOLED displays. The Galaxy J5 (2016) features a 5.2-inch 720p display screen. On the other hand, the Galaxy J7 (2016) touts a larger 5.5-inch display with a resolution of 1,920×1,080 pixels .

Samsung has not announced the official release date of the Galaxy J5 (2016) and Galaxy J7 (2016). Both the handsets are expected to be announced in June. In 2015, the original versions of the Galaxy J5 and Galaxy J7 were launched during this time of the year.
