For the past few weeks, the second generation of Samsung’s A9 smartphone has been under scrutiny and has been the subject of multiple leaks. Now, the Samsung Galaxy A9 has appeared on the Geekbench benchmarking site, revealing the key features of the device.

A Samsung device with model number SM-A9000, which is speculated to be the Galaxy A9, has been spotted on Geekbench. With an octa-core Snapdragon 620 processor on board, the score-sheet of the unnamed device reflects a remarkable 1,446 and 4,134 points in single-core and multi-core testing, respectively, reports GSM Arena. Last month, the device also showed up on AnTuTu with the same Qualcomm chipset and 3 GB of RAM.

Qualcomm's Snapdragon 620 SoC features 8 GHz ARM Cortex-A72 cores along with 1.4 GHz ARM Cortex-A53 core processor with Adreno 510 graphics engine, which will boost the performance for 1080p gaming . The chipset also incorporates Cat. 6 LTE modem technology, which will enable 300 Mbps download speed in the smartphone. Moreover, connectivity options include built-in Wi-Fi, GPS, NFC and Bluetooth 4.0.

The listing reveals the device will run on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop. The device is also expected to support 4K video recording and sport quick-charge 2.0 technology. With 32 GB of onboard storage, a microSD card slot is also expected, reports Android Geeks.

Featuring a metal build, the device will come with a 5.5-inch Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels . The Galaxy A9 will be available in Black, White and Gold colour variants.

Last week, the company mistakenly posted the probable release date of the device on its Iran website. The Samsung Galaxy A9 smartphone is expected to be released on Dec. 1.

Both the Galaxy A3 (2016) and A5 (2016) smartphones have passed the U.S. Federal Communications Commission (FCC), which indicates a possible release in the coming months.
