Images of the Samsung Galaxy A8, the successor of the Galaxy A7, have leaked online. The images coming from China, showcased the specs of the upcoming smartphone. The device's release date has also been tipped by an e-commerce site, while the price has been tipped separately.

The images posted by Chinese website PC Online showed the smartphone from all angles. The site also claims to have a hands-on look at the Galaxy A8, confirming the specifications. The A8 will run on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop and is said to boast metal side bezels and looks like the Galaxy S6 from the front. The upcoming device sports a 5.7-inch full-HD Super AMOLED display, with a home button that doubles as a finger print scanner.

The A8 is said to be powered by a 64-bit octacore Snapdragon 615 clocked at 1.5 GHz, along with 2GB of RAM and Adreno 405 GPU. The smartphone sports a 16-megapixel ISOCELL rear camera with LED flash and a 5-megapixel front cam. It holds 16GB of internal storage, which can be expanded with a microSD card. The phablet measures 1157.7 x 76.7 x 5.94mm and houses a 3050mAh battery. The smartphone is expected to be available in three colors; Gold, White and Black.

For connectivity purposes, the A8 will house 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and USB connection.

Also, the A8’s release date has been tipped by Chinese website Sunin Tesco; who have also begun with taking pre-orders for the A8. According to the site, the A8 will be available in China only and it will reach the market on July 17 for somewhere around $485.
