There are rumors that Samoa Joe may appear at the “Elimination Chamber” PPV on May 31, 2015. Cageside Seats reported that there have been talks that Samoa Joe may be involved in the match between John Cena and Kevin Owens. Previously, Cena openly challenged wrestlers to his US title. NXT heavy champion Owens answered Cena’s call but executed a powerbomb on Cena instead of fighting on the latter’s terms. The fight on Sunday at Elimination Chamber will be a non-title match and will not threaten Cena’s belt. Both Joe and Owens is said to debut on WWE PPV at the Elimination Chamber.

Inquisitr wrote that it will be the first time that an NXT angle will be shot on a WWE PPV. Many people believe that WWE is treating the event as a WWE Network Special, but the fact is that WWE is going to consider it similarly to any other PPV. WWE is transacting with PPV providers to make the show available to more outlets.

The publication added that getting Samoa Joe involved in a WWE PPV would be good, especially for NXT. The idea of Joe and Owens fighting each other would put the focus on NXT. Many fans predict that Joe will be involved if Owens attacked Cena after the match or took the fight outside their slated card. It is not expected that Joe and Owens would be pitted against each other on a main roster in the meantime, although the angle can pave the way for NXT to make the dream match happen in the future.

PWInsider also reported that Samoa Joe was allowed to keep his name and WWE is already promoting him like an exclusive name, whether he is put by WWE in an exclusive deal or not. Everything was said to be under the orders of Triple H.
