Twilight hunk Robert Pattinson has surprised his Twi-hard fans as he debuts his new hair during a conference at Comic-Con held in San Diego Thursday.

Joined by co-stars Taylor Lautner and on-off screen girlfriend, Kristen Stewart, Pattinson appeared with what Us Magazine described as “crazy, half-shaved haircut”.

The new cut has created a buzz because though he has had always appeared with unkempt hair, this new look appears “long and floppy on one side and raggedly buzzed on the other”.

The British hunk explained during the conference that the new hairstyle was for his role in thriller film, “Cosmopolis”. According to UsMagazine, the hair is a result of one of the scenes in “Cosmopolis” where R-Patz had to get a haircut in one of the scenes and freaks out while he was having his hair cut by a NY barber.

The Twilight stars attended the conference at Comic-Con to discuss the first part of “Twilight: Breaking Dawn” installment set to hit theaters on November 18.
