The episode of Bravo’s reality series “The Real Housewives of Orange County” that aired o n July 13, Monday, featured Vicki Gunvalson, 53, mourning the loss of her mother and her best friend Tamra Judge, 44, welcoming her first grandchild.

Gunvalson went to Chicago for her mother’s funeral without Judge and her boyfriend Brooks Ayers, 47. While was touched by the lovely ceremony, she was distraught because the two would not be able to accompany her.

With the support of her siblings, Gunvalson still managed to get through the mourning time. She was still sad when she went back to Orange County, where she was visited by Judge and another friend Shannon Beador, 49.

When Beador visiter her, Gunvalson talked about her family’s plans to connect with her late mother through a séance. Heather Dubrow, 46, also did her part by reaching out with plans for a bowling night to help their grieving friend feel better.

On the other hand, Judge spent the recent “RHOC” episode preparing for the arrival of her new grandchild. The baby was scheduled to be born on the same day Gunvalson’s mother was being buried.

Before the baby’s birth, Judge went to Roseville, Calif., to meet up her son Ryan and her soon-to-be daughter-in-law Sarah. The new grandmother was in tears as she introduced herself to the new baby. She even cheerfully declared herself as the hottest grandma in Orange County.

On the other hand, while Judge appeared to be overjoyed by the birth of her granddaughter during the July 13 episode of “RHOC,” she still had to deal with some painful matters. She did not only tried to console Gunvalson. She also had to face a bitter custody battle with ex Simon Barney, according to People.

On her recent appearance on “Watch What Happens Live,” Judge broke down while talking about the how the custody battle has affected her relationship with her oldest daughter Ava, 16, who has chosen to live with Barney.

Judge told “Watch What Happens Live” host Andy Cohen that Ava has made such decision because “she is the one between the three kids” so she “got caught up in the middle of it. Still, the “RHOC” star said she loves Ava more than anything.
