It has not been very long since smartphone enthusiasts got their hands on the newly released LG G4 and some unconfirmed reports suggest that LG is in plans to launch another variant of LG G4, named the LG G4 S, according to reports.

The renders of the LG G4 S was first posted by Russian website hi-tech.mail.ru. ahead of the reported July unveiling, noted Digital Trends.

According to a report on Android Central, the LG G4 S reportedly features a 5.2-inch screen with a resolution of 1920x1080. Besides that, the handset will reportedly use In-Cell Touch technology that will improve response time. Other features include an 8 megapixel rear camera with laser autofocus and dual-LED flash configuration and powering the LG G4 S will reportedly be a 1.5GHz octa-core processor, reports Android Central.

As per a report on Digital Trends, LG allegedly plans to position the G4 S as a budget alternative to the LG G4. Due to the short gap between the release of G4 and the arrival of G4 S, the changes are minor.

This is not for the first time for LG to come up with an inexpensive derivation of any of its smartphones. The company unveiled the G4C and G4 Stylus just (both targeted for foreign markets) two months ago. While the G4C features the specifications of G4 in a smaller package, the G4 Stylus compromises in terms of processing power as it gets a 1.2GHz quad-core or 1.4GHz octa-core processor, camera capabilities with a 13 MP rear camera, 1 GB RAM and 8 GB of storage.

The G4 Stylus ships with LG’s Rubberdium Stylus, reports Digital Trends. Details on the price and availability of LG G4 S is not yet confirmed, however, hi-tech.mail.ru reported that the smartphone is expected to be launched in the second half of July.
