Australian actress Caitlin Stasey has made a surprising revelation about Hollywood. The actress has thrown some light on the cons of being a pretty girl in Hollywood.

Stasey, who is arguably best known for her role as Kenna in TV series “Reign,” has revealed that the pretty girls in Hollywood are just known for their good looks and their talent is not valued by the industry.

Stasey even opened up about the sexism she has faced in the entertainment industry in a newly released video for "What's Underneath" project by StyleLikeU's. Stasey has boldly accepted the fact that Hollywood is not kind to women and treats attractive white women as a privilege.

"People think that beauty opens doors but it opens doors to cliff edges. They know that the quickest way to make a dollar is to objectify, humiliate and mutilate women. In this town, you constantly have to undermine yourself to appease other people. When people meet you out here they either want to be so impressed by you, I suppose, like they can't not include you, or find you so neutral that they can imprint on you whatever it is they are already seeing."

The video series by StyleLikeU comprises of interviews of numerous people who talk on several pressing issues. In this interview, Stasey slammed the common perception that beauty opens the door by saying that “opens doors to cliff edges.” The 25-year old actress called the filmmakers lazy as they take the conventional route and “objectify, humiliate and mutilate women.”

She said that a woman has to undergo constant damage in order to appease others in Hollywood. Stasey also opened up about the body image struggles she faced in her past. The “Please Like Me” actress revealed that didn't want anyone to see her body and would go in the ocean fully clothed rather than sporting a bikini.

Stasey even launched her own website Herself.com at the beginning of this year which according to her aimed to present women’s body “in all its honesty.”
