Redfoo’s club attacker has pleaded guilty to assault. Arian Berisha admitted to throwing a glass at the “X Factor Australia” judge during a night out in Sydney in August.

Berisha, 21, previously pleaded not guilty to assault occasioning actual bodily harm and reckless wounding in September. However, at the Downing Centre Local Court on Tuesday, he changed his plea on assault to guilty. The reckless wounding charge has been dropped. He will be sentenced on May 26.

The incident happened in August at the Golden Sheaf Hotel in Double Bay. Redfoo, whose real name is Stefan Kendal Gordy, was partying in a private area when a man, Berisha, threw a bottle at him.

A reveller saw the incident, saying the 39-year-old musician doubled over in pain then started running after his attacker. Berisha was caught by security and subsequently arrested by the police. Redfoo suffered a 1cm-laceration on his right temple from the attack.

He had no clue why someone would just attack him like that, saying that he could only explain it as jealousy on Berisha’s part.

The quirky artist, who was part of the musical duo LMFAO, was in Australia at that time to shoot the live shows for the Australian X Factor. He joined the Seven Network talent competition show in 2013 after replacing Guy Sebastian in the judges’ panel.

Back in the U.S., Redfoo was recently eliminated from the popular “Dancing with the Stars.” He was the first celebrity kicked off from the 20th season of the show following a weak first performance. He and professional dance partner Emma Slater made a stunning turnaround with high-scoring jive the next week, but it was too late to save them as the votes were already cast.

“I got the chance to dance. I did my best,” he said following his elimination, clearly disappointed. “Emma is the best. I wanted to be there for her.”
