“Rocket League” is a completely new take on cars and football, and fans just can’t get enough of the action in the game. Developer Psyonix has done well in reciprocating the love from the fans through DLC and downloads, and it looks to expand the game yet again this coming December.

In a video uploaded to YouTube by the official account of Psyonix, the developer has announced its next batch of premium DLC. The DLC pack is aptly titled Chaos Run, and it seems to have a post-apocalyptic vibe.

The DLC costs $3.99 (AU $5.58), and it will come with two new cars. The new cars are called Ripper and Grog, and they will come complete with decals, paint type and a lot of other customisation options.

Aside from that, “Rocket League” players will also receive a free map next month, which is based on one of the areas found in “Rocket League's” predecessor, “Supersonic Acrobatic Rocket-Powered Battlecars.” The arena called the Wastelands is an ode to a post-apocalyptic setting featuring dusty roads and a barren backdrop.

The new map is also unlike any other arena in “Rocket League,” Kotaku reports. Aside from being bigger than the pre-existing maps, it is also different in a lot of ways. The new map has a completely sloped perimeter, entirely different Boost placements, and a much more prominent, physically wider pitch. It looks as if the Wastelands will provide players with more room for mayhem and chaos.

No specific release date has been given for the DLC yet, but it will be launched next month for the PlayStation 4 and PC.
