Psyonix’s “Rocket League” will be getting a lot of Halloween-themed items soon. The new items will let players customise their cars to suit the upcoming Halloween season.

Psyonix Vice President of Marketing Jeremy Dunham announced that “Rocket League” players will be given access to limited-time Halloween themed items starting Oct. 18, DualShockers reports. Upon acquisition of the items, players can immediately equip the items at the customisation garage. Dunham notes that players will not have to purchase the upcoming Revenge of the Battle-Cars DLC to get the free seasonal items.

The best part about the upcoming content is that it’s free and can be obtained through playing matches. Players will have a chance at the items as they are post-match drops regardless of whether the player wins or loses.

However, it should be noted that all the items included in the Halloween set will become unavailable after Nov. 2. Items unobtained by that date can no longer be acquired by any other methods. After Nov. 2, all the Halloween-themed items the player acquired will be permanently retained at the garage.

In addition to the Halloween-themed content, “Rocket League” set to expand with the upcoming Revenge of the Battle-Cars DLC is fully detailed at the PlayStation Blog. The DLC will launch on Oct. 13 for $3.99 (AU $5.48). Fans who have played the predecessor to “Rocket League,” “Supersonic Acrobatic Rocket-Powered Battle-Cars,” should be able to recognise some of the customisation items included in the DLC. Aside from the customisation items taken from the previous game, the DLC will also bring two cars from the predecessor, Scarab and Zippy.

Other items in the DLC include 12 new decals, three new paint types, two new wheels, two new rocket boosts, four new toppers, two new antennas and five new trophies. Players will also be given access to variations of two of the game’s arenas.
