While waiting for the royal arrival of their second bundle of joy, Prince William and pregnant Kate Middleton are celebrating four years of blissful marriage after tying the knot on April 29, 2011. Enchanting the world with their love story and fairytale romance, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge continues to capture the world with their Royal Wedding, their laid-back approach in life, their various charities and their love for each other.

The couple sealed their vows at the historical Westminster Abbey in front of 1,900 guests including representatives of many of Europe’s ruling houses. William and Kate’s wedding came after almost a decade of romance that started on the grounds of St. Andrew’s University until they announced their engagement on Nov. 16, 2010.

Queen Elizabeth declared the date of the wedding as a public holiday throughout UK and for the next months the wedding preparation took over the worldwide web. Every bits information about the wedding gained massive public attention.

“Ahead of the ceremony, which started at 11am, the second in line to the throne had been created Duke of Cambridge, Earl of Strathearn and Baron Carrickfergus,” Royal Central reports. “There had been some debate in the media ahead of the wedding as to what Kate’s title would be after her marriage. She emerged from the Abbey into a cloudy April morning as Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cambridge.”

Based on the report, there are 36 million people in the UK watched at least part of the Royal Wedding with a peak audience of 26 million. In the United States, there are around 60 million Americans who viewed the wedding at some point with a total of 22 million for average viewers.

Meanwhile, Prince William and pregnant Kate Middleton are celebrating their fourth anniversary privately at the Kensington Palace as they wait for the impending birth of their second child. The brunette was expected to give birth med to late April and has gone past her expected due date, just like what happened with Prince George in 2013.
