Prince William and Kate Middleton are set to visit Wales as part of their efforts to raise awareness about mental health issues. Apart from the immediate Wales travel itinerary, the royal couple has also announced plans for an India tour next year.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambrige are set to arrive in Caernarvon in Wales on Friday for a day filled with activities with charitable organisations, People magazine reports. The trip is expected to be memorable for Prince William and his wife, Kate Middleton, since they spent nearly four years of their married life in Anglesey, when Prince William was a RAF helicopter pilot.

A spokesman also told People that the royal couple are “delighted” to be going back to Wales for the visit.

The royal couple left their Anglesey home in September 2013 and are now living with their two children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, in Anmer Hall at Norfolk.

The couple is set to visit mental the health charity Mind’s photography project in Wales as well as a local charity which provides housing for homeless youth in the area. Prince William and Kate will also visit an outdoor education centre run by the Mountain Rescue England and Wales. The two will also make time to visit Clwyd's Men's Shed centre, which helps vulnerable people through practical activities and other projects.

In the past few weeks, Prince William and Kate have been busy attending royal functions and charitable events. The most recent is the Annual Remembrance Service held on Nov. 8, where the royal mother of two wore a chic black patchwork coat. Middleton’s fashion ensemble was from the designer collection of the late Alexander McQueen.

The annual event was held in honour of the fallen British troops and veteran soldiers. Apart from Prince William and Kate, other members of the royal family also attended the event, such as Prince Harry and Queen Elizabeth II.

Meanwhile, the royal couple has already announced some of their travel plans for 2016. According to Hello magazine, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will visit India in spring 2016, as confirmed by Kensington Palace. The trip will be the couple’s first overseas tour since their December 2014 New York visit. It is reportedly unlikely that the royal couple will bring their children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, with them during the India tour.

This will be the first time that Prince William and Kate will visit India.
