Regardless of one’s stature in life, parenting could really be a tough job. This only means that even a prince would struggle with parental duties. On his recent trip to Vietnam to attend the third International Conference on the Illegal Wildlife Trade, Prince William got real about his experience as a new parent. He also opened up on a lot of things that he has learned in his first few years of parenting wonderful children with his wife Kate Middleton.

The 34-year-old father of Prince George and Princess Charlotte was interviewed by Talk Vietnam, where he revealed that he is also vulnerable as a parent. “Well, as the other parents in the room will testify, there’s wonderful highs and there’s wonderful lows. It’s been quis a change for me, personally. I’m very lucky in the support I have from Catherine,” he said about his wife, the Duchess of Cambridge. He also added that Kate had been an amazing mother and a fantastic wife.

He also said that he adores his children very much and he has learned a lot about himself and about a family just from having his own kids. In 2013, Prince William made similar comments while being interviewed by CNN where he said that George reminds him of himself and of his brother Harry.

As for his daughter Charlotte, Prince William said that raising her has been a different dynamic as he has never had a sister. Raising Charlotte made him learn a lot about having a girl in the family.

Vanity Fair writes that as for George, William finds him a bit of a rascal. He says that George keeps him on his toes but is a sweet boy. He also says that he would like to raise his children with an awareness of the world around them and to have an anti-materialistic lifestyle. He also admits that now that he is a parent, he worries more about the future.
