Prince Harry, the ever popular royal, delivered his heartfelt speech and managed to crack some jokes as he joined organizers in the inauguration of Invictus Games on Wednesday, Aug. 13. A Paralympic-style sporting competition for wounded servicemen and women, the Invictus Game is set to kick off next month in London with 14 nations to compete for the ultimate price.

The 29-year-old royal also announced the biggest British military sports team ever assembled as they take on rivals from Australia, Canada, Afghanistan, Denmark, Italy, Iraq, Netherlands, Germany, Estonia, New Zealand, USA, France and UK. Harry addressed the members of the team and the throng of media gathered near Tower Bridge and even raised a laugh when his speaking notes blew away mid-speech.

"Prosthetics, dogs, wheelchairs, high-performance cars, 4x4s, tattoos - we've got everything here. It could only be the Invictus Games. To all of you behind me, I would like to congratulate you on making the team. These men and women here have achieved so much already but being selected for this team is another significant milestone in their life beyond injury," said Prince Harry in his speech.

The upcoming sporting event was championed by the Prince himself and backed by the Royal Foundation of The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and the Ministry of Defence, according to Daily Mail.

The British team is made up of 69 per cent Army, 23 per cent Naval service and eight per cent Royal Air Force, and has been trained and supported by Help for Heroes and the Ministry of Defence. All 14 teams are set to compete in the nine adaptive sports that will be featured in the event - powerlifting, indoor rowing, athletics, archery, wheelchair basketball, cycling, swimming and sitting volleyball.

Celebrating his 30th birthday after the Invictus Game, the ginger-haired royal will have his celebration in the palace with Prince William and Kate Middleton. Not trying to overshadow his upcoming Invictus Game, Harry is now focusing on the event and not him turning the big 3-0 on Sept. 15.

"Harry would like to go, but he knows he can't have a crazy night out and misbehave. For him, September is all about the Invictus Game and doesn't want anything overshadowing that," a source told Vanity Fair.

Invictus Game will be held at the Olympic Park and Lee Valley in London on Sept. 10-14, 2014.
