“Pretty Little Liars” Season 6B will premiere on Jan. 12. The ABC teen thriller will take a five year leap. It will see the liars Hanna (Ashley Benson), Emily (Shay Mitchell), Spencer (Troian Bellisario) and Aria (Lucy Hale) leading independent lives. But this time around the liars will return to Rosewood and have secrets that they want to hide from their friends.

The series will also air a special episode titled “Pretty Little Liars: 5 Years Forward,” on Nov. 24. It will be a behind-the-scenes which will look into the flash forward and discuss some of what happened in the five years between the Season 6A finale and the Season 6B premiere. It will also give a peek into what the main characters were up to in and out of Rosewood.

The special episode of PLL was announced during the Comic Con held in New York in October, Bustle reported. The flash forward episode is expected to be on the lines of the Halloween special. In the episode, the liars answered questions and gave interesting and fun details about their characters and the show.

It will also feature never-before-seen scenes, backstage tours of brand new ‘PLL’ sets, interviews with the crew surrounding the highly anticipated leap and the style evolution of the Liars, Variety reported.

According to show creator I. Marlene King, the time leap was “a group consensus.” She said that the leap decision was mutual because the actors were “ready to play close to their own ages,” adding that PLL Season 6B would become edgier and more mature.

A new “Big Bad” villain is revealed in the new Season but the character is more dangerous than “A” who the viewers now know is none other than CeCe Drake. In the summer finale of PLL CeCe revealed that she did not kill Mrs. DiLaurentis.

Drake is Charlotte DiLaurentis played by Vanessa Ray (in present time) and Dylan Garza (in flashback), the older sister of Alison DiLaurentis. Sasha Pieterse who plays the role of Alison dished that Charlotte is nothing compared to “Big Bad,” Cosmopolitan reported. Charlotte and her games look like child’s play in comparison to the new villain, she said.
