In an attempt to reach the younger and tech-savvy red-blooded male market, Playboy just released an app for Apple's iPhone. However, those seeking more skin that the famous magazine's print version would be disappointed because the models keep their clothes on in the high-tech version.

Since 1953, males became more familiar with the naked female anatomy through the brand associated with Playboy.

However, more daring magazine such as Penthouse and the Internet which provided videos of nude models caused a decline in the sales of Playboy Magazine.

So as not to turn off their potential flesh-curious market, Playboy assured the young techies that the app would still have sexy pictorials of playmates but it leave a little more to the imagination. The toned down flesh display is in line with Apple's content standards which prohibits nudity.

Those who want to buy the app could select from three options - a monthly fee of $1.99, a six-month subscription for $10.99 and a yearly subscription for $19.99.

The app's opening video features Kylie Johnson, Miss February 2011, and actress Lena Dunham who doesn't mind taking her clothes off.

"As the on-the-go extension of the Playboy brand, our new app brings the best of Playboy with original, thought-provoking and enticing bite-sized content that captures our design-driven and discernible style," Playboy Enterprises Chief Executive Scott Flanders said in a statement.

That should give some males who often said they buy Playboy for its articles and not so much the flesh baring an excuse to purchase the app.
