Johnny Depp’s work on “Pirates of the Caribbean 5” was reportedly affected by his fights with now estranged wife Amber Heard. Jackie ‘O’ Henderson, DJ on Aussie breakfast radio show “The Kyle and Jackie O Show” revealed this recently.

Henderson apparently spoke to some of the crew members of the movie who worked in it when the production was taking place on the Gold Coast, Yahoo reports . The crew members reportedly said that it was a “nightmare” to work on the set of the movie because Depp (Captain Jack Sparrow) would “never turn up” because he would be fighting with Heard.

The crew members were “frequently left waiting for Depp to show up on set.” The report points out that Depp believed that his wife was having an affair with Billy Bob Thornton.

While the production of the movie was taking place in Australia the movie made a lot of headlines for all the wrong reasons. Filming of “Pirates of the Caribbean 5” had to be stopped briefly after Depp injured himself and had to fly back to the US for a minor surgery. There were also problems with the customs after Heard failed to declare her dogs before entering the country.

The film is said to have taken $320 million (AU $416 million) to make. The movie overshot its original budget, but the cast and crew managed to complete filming without any additional problems. Depp also spent considerable time interacting with the fans while he was in Australia.

“Pirates of the Caribbean 5” is currently in the post-production phase. It is set to be released on May 26, 2017. It has been directed by Joachim Ronning and Espen Sandberg. The other cast members of the movie include Orlando Bloom (Will Turner), Geoffrey Rush (Barbossa), Brenton Thwaites (Henry) and Kaya Scodelario.
