Spoiler alert! This article contains “Person of Interest” spoilers. Read on if you would like to know what happens next before the new episode airs.

In the upcoming episode, John Reese (James Caviezel) and Harold Finch (Michael Emerson) will be trapped in a hospital, CBS Entertainment shares. However, it is not only a normal hospital, it will be the starting point of an outbreak.

The said outbreak will be deadly and will put the lives of the team members in grave danger. People in the hospital will be at risk, too. It is now up to Reese and Finch to save the whole hospital, besides themselves. As for the fans, it is now a big question whether the two will survive or Team Machine will lose two members.

In Episode 8, it is said that there would be focus on the Samaritan’s new recruit. However, the new addition to his team is currently having second thoughts.

Looking back at Episode 7’s “QSO,” the Samaritan was reportedly talking to a certain group member and tried to convince him that his goals are noble, Spoiler TV reports. It seems that the said group member was successfully swayed and was recruited by the Samaritan. In “Reassortment,” the new recruit experiences internal conflict and has second thoughts on the Samaritan’s ‘noble’ goals.

Meanwhile, Sameen Shaw (Sarah Shahi) will be struggling against reality again. In the past season, Shaw disappeared and was taken by the Samaritan. Certain tortures and things were believed to have been done to her. All the things she experienced with the Samaritan broke her.

A few episodes back, Shaw was able to return to the group. However, she was observed to be different. Now, the after-effects of the torture she experienced with the Samaritan will continue to be exhibited.

“Person of Interest” Season 5 Episode 8 airs on May 24 on CBS. It also airs on FX in Australia.
