“Person of Interest” Season 5 Episode 11 teasers are out. The episode, titled “Synecdoche,” escalates the war between the Machine and the Samaritan.

Spoiler alert! This article contains “Person of Interest” spoilers. Read on if you want to know what will happen on the next episode.

The TV series starts with Harold Finch (Michael Emerson) and John Reese (Jim Caviezel) getting numbers of ‘irrelevant’ people who may die or kill someone. These persons of interest are often normal citizens. However, for Season 5 Episode 11, the Machine will pop up the number of the most important person in the land, the President of the United States, Spoiler TV shares.

Now, Reese and the team would have to go to Washington D.C. to look after the President. Not only that, they also need to be one step ahead of the Secret Service men. Having the President of the United States as a person of interest could be a real challenge. Unlike previous POI’s, whom they could easily reach, stalk and communicate with, they would have to protect the President from afar.

The mission is a tough one. They also need to consider the risk of being tagged as perpetrators against the state.

The official trailer also says that Finch would separate himself from the group. He is contemplating on whether or not he would do some drastic actions to defeat the Samaritan. What these actions are, are yet to be known.

Because of the sensitivity of the team’s mission, viewers may expect it to be action packed. Expect that the team would face more difficult situations. This is especially true as they are one man down. Looking back the previous episode, Root (Amy Acker) was shot by a sniper and died. Lacking a skill-wise valuable member in the team, along with dealing with grief for losing a friend, the team is surely in for some challenge, Cartermatt says.

However, it is important to take note that when Root died in the previous episode, she became the Voice of the Machine. The coming episode may answer what this means. It would also show if her death is beneficial to the team or not.

Guest stars for the episode include Joel Haberli (U.S, President), Karen Pittman (Tracey Phillips) and Will Brill (Charlie Vaida). “Person of Interest” Season 5 Episode 11 will air on June 7 in CBS. It also airs on FX in Australia.
