In what can be considered one of the most thrilling battles of 2015 between Hollywood flicks “The Visit” and “‘The Perfect Guy,” the latter has emerged as the clear winner. “The Perfect Guy” succeeded in churning out $26 million (AU$36 million) in the U.S. over the weekend. This can be considered a close shave for “The Perfect Guy” as M. Night Shyamalan's “The Visit” was just slightly behind in terms of its box office earnings with $25 million (AU$35 million).

The flicks succeeded in making the most of the moment as the competition level was at the bare minimum during the time of their release, thus, the ideal timing led to huge collections. A thrilling story and an amazing screenplay helped “The Perfect Guy” rake in $25,888,154 (AU$26 million) in its opening weekend, according to Box Office Mojo. This was closely followed by “The Visit”, which has made $25,427,560 (AU$25.7 million). Box Office Mojo also reports that “The Visit” earned $32,838,841 (AU$45 million) worldwide.

Moving on to the script and screenplay of the movies, the story of “The Perfect Guy” revolves around Sanaa Lathan, who plays successful lobbyist Leah Vaughn, and Michael Ealy, who plays the role of a charismatic yet dangerous stranger named Carter Duncan. The story takes unexpected turns and twists when the two get involved in a romantic relationship, according to the film’s official website.

From supernatural rituals to undisclosed family secrets, “The Visit” by M. Night Shyamalan has it all. The story revolves around Nana (Deanna Dunagan) and Pop Pop (Peter McRobbie), who manage to escape from a mental hospital and find shelter in the home of two volunteers whose grandchildren were about to pay a visit. The children, played by Olivia DeJonge (Rebecca) and Ed Oxenbould (Tyler), assume Nana and Pop Pop are their real grandparents and what follows next will give you chills. It will keep you hooked to your seats until the end of the film.

The Guardian reports that “War Room,” which was last week’s top film, slid to the third spot with $7.4 million (AU$10 million). As for the other movies that are part of the Sept. 11-13 weekend box office, "A Walk in the Woods" earned $4.7 million (AU$6.5 million) and Tom Cruise's "Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation" earned $4.1 million (AU$5.7 million). These films round out the Top 5 movies in the U.S. box office.
