2011 has been a year of saying goodbye to a lot of icons in the entertainment, music and even fashion industry.

Most of them have been essentially contributory to the pillars of creativity and uniqueness in an industry that makes any world go round interestingly.

Elizabeth Taylor. She was known to be one of the most enthralling actresses in the industry during the 20th century and also was a two time Academy Award winner. She passed away last March 23 at the age of 79.

Tim Hetherington. He was a renowned photojournalist who was once assigned for an outpost assignment in Afghanistan. He was one of the directors of 'Restrepo,' an Oscar-nominated documentary who passed away last April 20 while he was staying in Libya at the age of 40.

Clarence Clemons. This saxophonist used to perform with the E Street Band in 2009 during NFL's halftime show. He was a best friend to Bruce Springsteen. He suffered from a stroke last June 18 when he was 69 years old.

Ryan Dunn. This 'Jackass' television personality passed away during a tragic car crash in June 20 hear his own house in West Goshen. He was only 34 years old.

Peter Falk. He was an actor who grabbed four Emmys for 'Columbo.' He died last June 23 when he was 83 years old in Beverly Hills.

Cy Twombly. Cy was an American painter who became well known for his gigantic paintings which feature a lot of scribbles and graffiti using uncommon items. He passed away last July 5 in Rome and he was also 83.

Amy Winehouse. This singer-songwriter was found dead in her apartment in London last July 23. This 'Rehab' singer was only 27 years old.

Cliff Robertson. His acting career lasted for almost 60 years in the business. He died last September 10 in New York at the age of 88.

Steve Jobs. This Apple icon who was behind the most popular gadgets in the world died last October 5. He was only 56 and passed away just after six weeks of resigning as the CEO of the popular company.
