It's the big food feast that many are truly looking forward to when it comes to Thanksgiving. But how will the celebrity vegans enjoy it without having to taste all the meat presented on the Thanksgiving table?

It has always been a tradition for most to laze around right after consuming a sumptuous turkey dinner right on the night of Thanksgiving. But this event is not a good excuse for the Vegans to give the meaty stuff a try.

Try to find out who these celebrities are and how they manage to still enjoy the holiday event with meatless recipes as company for the night.

Natalie Portman. This Oscar winning actress returned to being a vegan when she was still carrying her first child in the womb. In 2007, she even launched her very own organic show line, and was voted as PETA's Sexiest Vegetarian Celebrity of 2002 for the female category. Her thanksgiving would surely be filled with a lot of those greens.

Kristen Bell. For this animal activist and actress, Thanksgiving will be filled with fruits and veggies. She has been a vegetarian for 16 years and confesses that she does not like eating meat since she was a young kid. Bell admits eating burgers make her feel like she's "eating her dogs."

Chris Martin. This 'Coldplay' lead singer might have a vegan cake made for the night to share with his wife Gwyneth Paltrow and child, Apple. He was voted in 2005 as the Sexiest Vegetarian Celebrity.

Ellen DeGeneres. This successful television show host has been a vegetarian since 2008 and has even launched a website called 'Going Vegan with Ellen.' On her Thanksgiving table, there surely won't be any steaks and cheeseburgers anymore.

Carrie Underwood. This country singer from 'American Idol' has been a vegan since she was 13 years old. She revealed in one interview that she became one due to the main reason that she is lactose intolerant. No milk for this singer before bedtime on Thanksgiving night!

Alyssa Milano. This 'Charmed' actress does not only have a green thumb but also loves a great deal of veggies. Just like her diet when she was still pregnant, she would surely include pickles and broccoli for Thanksgiving supper.

Whether or not these celebrities choose to skip on the meat, the real essence of thanksgiving is the warmness of togetherness. There is no better way to measure its worth not by the foods served but by the quality of kindled spirits on a night full of gratitude for all the blessings you have received for the year.
