Jamie will show how adept he is at politics and intrigue in episode 3 of “Outlander” Season 2. Two sneak peek videos have surfaced online. While one video shows Jamie planning to steal secrets the other shows Claire putting her skills as a healer to good use.

A sneak peek video from the next episode posted on Access Hollywood shows Jamie (Sam Heughan) explaining his strategy to Claire (Caitriona Balfe). Jamie said that he has hired a pick pocket to do some special work for him and Claire wonders why her husband would keep a thief in their house.

Jamie explains that he plans to use the pick pocket Fergus (Romann Berrux) to steal letters of Prince Charles (Andrew Gower) and learn his secrets. He plans to put the letters back after making copies of them. Claire is astonished at her husband’s brilliant plan and approves the strategy.

A similar strategy is used by the spy master Varys (Conleth Hill) in the “Game of Thrones” TV series, helping him rise in power very quickly. Will Jamie’s strategy help him achieve his goal in “Outlander” Season 2?

While Jamie is busy plotting and planning, Claire will find a way to make herself useful in the next episode. After attending parties and gossiping with the women, she will now try to use her skills as a healer to help people.

A scene from the next episode posted on YouTube shows Claire impressing Mother Hildegarde (Frances de la Tour) with her medical knowledge. Hildegarde suggests that Claire help with dressing the wounds of another patient and a grateful Claire accepts the job with a smile.

“Outlander” Season 2 episode 3 will air on April 23. According to the official synopsis of the episode, Jamie refuses to allow Claire to join L'Hôpital des Anges, but Claire will convince him later.
