The latest film to create Oscar buzz is Ben Stiller's adaptation of the classic comic short story, "The Secret Life of Walter Mitty".

The film premieres next week at the New York Film Festival and is predicted to sweep major category awards from Best Picture, Best Actor, Best Screenplay to Best Actress. Set in contemporary setting the film is a remake/adaption of Hollywood classic where Ben Stiller plays a office worker with immense imaginative skills. Before Ben Stiller donned the directors hat for the film there have been likes of Steven Spielberg, Chuck Russell, Gore Verbinks who have turned this classic story into a full length Hollywood film.

Though Ben Stiller have never got a Oscar nod, but due to its extraordinary concept, even before the release the film has created Academy Award murmur.

According to The Gaurdian, "Stiller is well-liked in Hollywood, both for his antecdents (dad Jerry "Frank Costanza" Stiller, mum Anne Meara), as his readiness to accept commercial gigs as well as more obvious quality projects.".

If the frenzy around the film proves to be true than the film would give a tough competition to current Oscar front runners such as "Twelve Year A Slave", "Wolf of Wall Street" and "Gravity".

What's interesting is that the film also stars Hollywood favorite Kristen Wiig. Stiller and Wiig have never shared the screen space and people are looking forward to their chemistry. Also Stiller is known for possessing the right skills of making a lethal combination of a classic and mass entertainer, this is another reason for the high expectations from the film. After its New York Premiere the film will have a Christmas release and it would be releasing the world by New Years.

We hope that this one turns out be a major Oscar 2014 contender.
