The Trinity and the Strix should watch their backs because there is an angry Original vampire-werewolf hybrid in New Orleans. The Second-half episodes of “The Originals” Season 3 will bring back the viciousness in Klaus Mikaelson (Joseph Morgan) because of what happened to Cami O’Connelle (Leah Pipes) in the mid-season finale episode titled “Savior.”

Spoiler Alert: This feature contains major “The Originals” Season 3 spoilers.

Klaus’ happiness with Cami in the ninth episode of “The Originals” Season 3 has been brief because his insanely jealous ex-girlfriend Aurora de Martel (Rebecca Breeds) snatched it away from him. The Original vampire-werewolf hybrid woke up next to Cami in bed but her throat has been slashed.

In an interview with Variety, “The Originals” series creator and executive producer Julie Plec explained that the writers of the CW TV series decided to incorporate Cami’s death in the storyline to show how unstable, jealous, insecure and vicious Aurora can be.

“This was a horribly extreme result of Aurora feeling slighted and that Klaus doesn’t love her enough and has cemented her as one of the big villains that we have to deal with,” Plec shared.

When asked if Cami is done for good, Plec revealed that the fans will still see “The Originals” character. However, Plec teased that the burning question is what context the viewers will see Cami again and how tragic it will be.

Klaus is expected to be extremely angry in the upcoming episodes. “Well, there’s nothing more fun than a pissed off Klaus,” Plec shared.

In the promo video of “The Originals” Season 3, episode 10, Klaus declares that he wants a retribution that is swift and brutal. Freya Mikaelson (Riley Voelkel) also expresses concern in the promo video on the subject of the prophecy on her siblings.

Plec also teased what’s next for “The Originals” characters Elijah Mikaelson (Daniel Gillies) and Vincent Griffith (Yusuf Gatewood). Elijah will be really heartbroken because he agreed to do the request of his sister, Rebekah (Claire Holt).

Rebekah wanted Elijah to dagger her in the mid-season finale to keep her from harming the people she cares about because of the curse that the Stix inflicted on her. “In this particular case, he understands that Rebekah needs to be put down. In spite of wishing there was another way out of this, he understands that this is the best strategy,” Plec explained.

As for Vincent, the witch has found an enemy in Tristan de Martel in the mid-season finale episode of “The Originals” Season 3. Tristan has targeted Vincent as the witch that he needs in activating a cursed object capable of locking away the Mikaelsons.

When Vincent refused to cooperate, Tristan threatened the witch with Freya’s necklace that safely keeps the soul of the Mikaelson sibling that possessed him for months, Finn (Casper Zafer). However, Plec teased that Vincent is a pretty strong witch who does not like to be pushed around.

“If there’s anyone who is capable of taking care of himself, it’s him,” Plec shared. “The Originals” Season 3 will return from its winter hiatus with a new airing schedule starting on Jan. 29, 2016 at 9/8c on the CW Network.
