“The Originals” Season 3 has returned with a series of murders happening at same time as Klaus’ sired vampire Lucien (Andrew Lees) arrived in New Orleans. “The Originals” executive producer Julie Plec as well as cast members Jason Dohring and Charles Michael Davis tease in an interview what the characters of the CW TV series will be up to amid the mysterious deaths at the French Quarter.

Spoiler Alert: This feature contains major “The Originals” Season 3 spoilers.

Dohring, 33, has shared in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter (THR) that there will be uneasiness between his character Detective Will Kinney and Cami O’Connell (Leah Pipes) as they work together in solving the series of murders at the French Quarter. Dohring explains that Cami obviously does not want the human detective to find out about the supernatural creatures residing in town but his character eventually senses that there is something fishy going on.

In the second episode of “The Originals” Season 3, the synopsis in a Carter Matt report teased that Cami will approach Original hybrid Klaus Mikaelson (Joseph Morgan) with her theory on who is responsible for the series of murders at the French Quarter. “He doesn't know anything is out of the ordinary, particularly, until maybe the sixth episode in. Along the way, there's things that Cami is not saying that are being picked up on. And he's [like], 'What the f--- aren't you telling me?'” Dohring teased.

The “Veronica Mars” actor has further added that his character will try to connect the dots in order to comprehend the out of the ordinary things happening in New Orleans. When asked about the possibility of a Will-Cami romance in the new season, Dohring responded he does not know if the mutual respect that the two characters currently have for each other will develop into something more.

Charles Michael Davis, who portrays vampire Marcel Gerard, tells THR that the fans will see his character in a different way in “The Originals” Season 3. “Now Klaus gave him back the keys to the city, so... you'll find him in a little bit of a stronger position than where he was in season two,” Davis shared.

“The Originals” executive producer Julie Plec further teases that Marcel will be very picky when it comes to the people that he will open the doors of the vampire community to. The new season’s upcoming episodes will also have Marcel being dragged into the complicated world of the Mikaelson siblings and their sired vampires because of his close ties to the Original family.

As for Davina Claire (Danielle Campbell), Davis reveals that losing Davina became a little bit of a setback for Marcel because he no longer has the powerful young witch as the ace up his sleeve. Plec teases that Davina will continue to struggle with her new role as the Regent of the witch community since she is having a hard time in making her people trust and respect her.

The next episode’s synopsis teases that Davina, who knows about Hayley’s whereabouts, will be plotting ways to use that information to her advantage. “The Originals” Season 3 returns with episode 2 titled “You Hung the Moon” on Thursday night, Oct. 15, at 9/8c on the CW Network.
