'The Originals' Season 3 spoilers: Episode 1 synopsis teases on Freya's role, serial killer and Davina-Marcel conflict
The synopsis of “The Originals” Season 3 premiere episode titled “For the Next Millenium” has teased on what exactly will happen next after Original hybrid Klaus Mikaelson’s vicious plan to defeat Dahlia (Claudia Black) worked in the previous season. There will be conflicts and new threats in the new season of the CW TV series.

According to the synopsis in a Carter Matt report, Freya Mikaelson (Riley Voelkel) will find a way to fix the damaged relationship of her brothers Klaus (Joseph Morgan) and Elijah (Daniel Gillies). Freya wants to bring back the Mikaelson family to the way they once were.
However, Elijah will still weigh in the premiere episode if he can truly forgive Klaus for killing Gia (Nishi Munshi) and placing again the Crescent Curse on Hayley Marshall (Phoebe Tonkin) and her pack. The fans will see Hayley in “The Originals” Season 3 struggling from the curse in the bayou and being away from her baby daughter Hope.
Meanwhile, “The Originals” executive producer Julie Plec teased in Entertainment Weekly’s (EW) Spoiler Room report that there is always hope for the Hayley-Elijah or “Haylijah” relationship even though a lot of obstacles blocked their way.
“I wouldn’t say they’ll never get together, because I think they have and at some point, they will again,” Plec explained. At the moment, Plec teased that it will be a matter of how Hayley and Jackson (Nathan Parsons) find their happiness with that “silent” elephant in the room.
In the premiere episode of “The Originals” Season 3, the fans will meet the new characters Lucien (Andrew Lees) and Detective Kinney (Jason Dohring). Klaus becomes suspicious when he finds out that his old vampire friend Lucien has arrived to New Orleans.
Lucien’s arrival comes with a mysterious agenda involving the remaining vampire sirelines of the Mikaelson siblings. As for Detective Kinney, Vincent Griffith (Yusuf Gatewood) and Cami O’Connell (Leah Pipes) will help the new detective character work on a case involving a series of gruesome murders.
The investigation will lead Detective Kinney, Vincent and Cami to believe that there is a serial killer running wild in New Orleans. Also in the premiere episode, Marcel Gerard (Charles Michael Davis) will try a new approach when it comes to recruiting vampires after regaining control of the French Quarter.
However, Marcel will be in an escalating conflict with Davina Claire (Danielle Campbell) after the new Regent of the New Orleans witches makes a decision. “The Originals” Season 3 will premiere on Thursday night, Oct. 8, at 9/8c on the CW Network.
