The production on Season 4 of “Orange is the New Black” has started. The Netflix original drama series is now casting for inmates in New York City, according to reports.

The final episode of “Orange is the New Black” Season 3 revealed that more inmates are arriving at Litchfield prison, ready to stir up another round of storm. The casting call, looks like, is for these new arrivals for whom additional bunkbeds have been installed.

The casting call says that for Season 4, “Orange is the New Black” is looking for Dominican type females to play inmates, according to Project Casting. The casting call also adds that the female must have not worked on the show before on any capacity and she should be comfortable with having “natural hair only, no wigs, weaves, extensions, dreads, twists and no unnatural colours." Also they are expected to wear no make makeup on the set, and also have no ear or facial piercings.

In other “Orange is the New Black” Season 4 news, Lea DeLaria, who plays Litchfield prison inmate Carrie ‘Big Boo’ Black, was earlier promoted to series regular for the new season. Also joining the promotion list is Jackie Cruz, who portrays Hispanic inmate Marisol "Flaca" Gonzales. Both DeLaria and Cruz have been recurring since Season 1 of “Orange is the New Black.”

Meanwhile, there is much speculation about whether Matt McGorry will return to reprise his role as John Bennett in “Orange is the New Black” Season 4. [Spoiler Alert] Bennett got engaged to inmate Daya in Season 3 and then abandoned her and their child soon after visiting her home. He was not seen much in the season. [Spoiler Alert].

Speaking about whether he will be seen in “Orange is the New Black” Season 4, the actor told Yahoo.com, “The thing that I can say about Season 4 is that it’s the writers’ decision about whether or not Bennett is back… I have my fingers crossed that he comes through and is the man that we all hoped he was.” He added that he would not be surprised if it does not turn out that way.

Netflix released all the episodes of “Orange is the New Black” Season 3 on June 11, and it renewed the series for another season in April.
