The massive Town Hall 11 update for “Clash of Clans” brought a lot of new content. Aside from new items, Supercell also provided several key gameplay features for the mobile game. However, a number of players have reported issues brought about by the update, so Supercell is now releasing another update, which is optional, to fix the problems.

One of the major gameplay changes in the Town Hall 11 update for “Clash of Clans” is the removal of getting Shields from defending players whose Town Halls have been destroyed. Before the update, defending players could place the Town Hall in an exposed area so they could get a Shield if it is destroyed easily. Getting a Shield would allow their resources to stock up, without the worry of being attacked.

With the Town Hall Shield removed from the update, players have reported that they are losing more than they are earning as they can no longer be protected by Shields when the Town Hall is destroyed. Recently, Supercell released a new update which could provide a fix for the issue, Gottabemobile reports. Players can opt to update or not update their game. The changelog for the update is as follows:

  • Added Winter theme along with an option to disable snowfall in Settings
  • Added an info screen when tapping the Shield icon that shows exact Personal Break timer status
  • Added a Clan badge icon for donated Spells in the deployment bar
  • Fixed a crash when trying to tap the Town Hall while all elixir-recharged defenses are under upgrade
  • Fixed a crash when fighting Lava Hound and Pups near the edge of the map
  • Fixed a crash when trying to donate to the war map while a troop or spell production building is under upgrade
  • Fixed the request/full/timer tips not showing correctly above the Clan Castle in certain situations
  • Fixed player profile bug where Level 1 Grand Warden could be incorrectly shown as unlocked
  • Various UI cleanup and fixes
