OnePlus 2 will arrive to succeed the OnePlus One that came out in April 2014. OnePlus 2 is confirmed to arrive in the third quarter of this year. Even though the specs of the device has not been announced officially, speculations are rife that it will come with high-end specs to take on the popular flagships of 2015.

Carl Pei tweeted on April 8 that the arrival of OnePlus 2 is not delayed. This comes in response to rumours that suggest its release has been postponed to Q4 2015. Another tweet suggests that the OnePlus 2 is scheduled for a Q3 release.

On the contrary, Gizmo China via MyDrivers (Chinese source) states that OnePlus believes that its 2014 flagship will continue to remain famous for the next six months. Hence, the arrival of OnePlus 2 has been pushed to Q4 this year. If this is true, the Chinese manufacturer will have more time to build its next flagship.

Also, the delayed OnePlus 2 release indicates that the device will feature the successor of Snapdragon 810 chipset. The S810 chip is suffering from overheating as revealed by previous reports. As of this writing, there is no official confirmation on the OnePlus 2 release date.

Android Community predicts that the device will be released by November or December 2015. BGR claims that the Chinese manufacturer has recently launched its OxygenOS (based on Android Lollipop). It may want to give its users more time to enjoy the new update and then finally release the OnePlus 2.

During a recent Reddit AMA (Ask Me Anything) session, the CEO of the company, Carl Pei had hinted that the 2015 OnePlus flagship will be loaded with impressive specs. He added that it will be able to pit against the likes of the Galaxy S6, the HTC One M9 and the forthcoming iPhone.

As far as OnePlus 2 specs are concerned, it will house a 5.5-inch Quad HD display, Snapdragon 810 chipset, 4 GB of RAM, impressive metal construction, Android 5.0 Lollipop and 3,300 mAh battery. Lastly, it is expected to carry a price tag of $435, reports Giz China.
