In a recent interview, cast member Lana Parrilla talked about why the Evil Queen will be angry in “Once Upon A Time” Season 6. The actress explained that the character feels “betrayed” by Regina, as she was a part of her for a very long time.

[Spoiler alert]

In an interview with EOnline, Parrilla explained that even though the Evil Queen was a part of Regina for so long, she was still “kicked out.” She teased that the character is now going to “make everyone pay for it” and “have fun” while doing it.

Rebecca Mader (Zelena) said that the fans should not expect a lot of change in Regina, now that she is separated from the Evil Queen. She said that the character’s “sass” isn’t going anywhere. She said that her character Zelena will have her hands full in dealing with the two characters Parilla will be playing this time around.

Mader pointed out that Zelena always wanted to have a family and in “Once Upon A Time” Season 6 she has two sisters she has to deal with, and at the moment the split characters absolutely hate each other.

The split character also presents a challenge to the other characters on the show. Jennifer Morrison (Emma Swan) said that her character believes in Regina, as she has overcome so many personal challenges and achieved so much.

The complicated part, the actress explained, will be dealing with the Evil Queen, who Emma has to treat as this “separate entity” that doesn’t have any of the redeeming qualities of Regina. While one character is a friend, another has been the ultimate enemy. Emma will strive to balance her approach in dealing with the two characters.

Perhaps the biggest challenge in “Once Upon A Time” Season 6 will be for Henry (Jared Gilmore). The young actor pointed out that he now has three mothers. He said that despite the agenda of the Evil Queen; she is still his mom.
