“Once Upon A Time” Season 6 will introduce new characters from the Land of Untold Stories. Perhaps the most highly anticipated of them all is the story of Aladdin, Jaffar and Princess Jasmine. However, the producers teased at the San Diego Comic Con that they are in no rush to get to the new storylines quickly.

Fans will only get “a taste” of Aladdin (Deniz Akdeniz), Jafar (Oded Fehr) and Princess Jasmine (Karen David) in the premiere episode of the next season, Producer/writer Adam Horowitz teased at the comic con, PopSugar reports. He said that it will take some time for the viewers to see how the new storylines will connect to the one in Storybrooke.

Executive Producer Edward Kitsis pointed out that there are a lot of storylines that they need to cover before they get to the new characters. So, the initial emphasis will be on Dr. Jekyll (Hank Harris), Mr. Hyde (Sam Witwer) and the split characters of Evil Queen and Regina (Lana Parrilla). The producers said that they are not in a rush to get to the new characters.

The producers teased that “Once Upon A Time” Season 6 will have the same “vibe” as the first and the second season of the TV series. Horowitz said that they felt this was the right time to bring in Aladdin, and the viewers will understand why; when they watch the show.

With every new character that the TV series brings in, the writers add their own twist to the familiar character. Aladdin has already been revealed to be a saviour of his people. Horowitz teased that this will be a connection between him and Emma Swan (Jennifer Morrison), who was also referred to as a saviour.

“Once Upon A Time” Season 6 will also revisit the Cinderella’s (Jessy Schram) story. The backstory of the character has already teased her friendship with Snow White (Ginnifer Goodwin), and this relationship may be further explored as the story moves forward.
