Hades will reportedly get a love interest in the next episode of “Once Upon a Time” Season 5. In a recent interview, Greg Germann talked about what’s in store for his character in episode 16 titled “Our Decay.”

[Spoiler alert]

Speaking with E! News , Germann (Hades) said that there is “ definitely an attraction” between his character and Zelena (Rebecca Mader). Hades will be traveling to Oz in a flashback scene in the next episode, where he will meet the Wicked Witch.

The connection between the two characters was teased in the previous episode. Hades wanted to hide this connection from the heroes, for fear of them using it against him in some way. Hades initially travels to Oz after coming to know about a special spell Zeena has. He will, however, find more than what he was looking for once he goes there.

“There's an electricity. Or thunderbolts. Or fire, depending on what world we're in, I guess," Gemann said about the chemistry between his character and Zelena in “Once Upon a Time” Season 5. The actor said that he enjoyed playing Hades, as the character seems to have limitless powers and can travel to any realm with relative ease.

However, even though Hades is a god and the heroes currently appear to be helpless in dealing with him, he also has a weakness. Germann pointed out that even a powerful character like Superman has Kryptonite as his weakness. For details about Hades’ weakness, the actor said that the fans will have to wait and watch the show to find out what that is.

The heroes are currently trying to find a way out of the Underworld in “Once Upon a Time” Season 5. But, Hades has decided to prevent them from leaving, as he is angry at them for helping a few souls leave the Underworld and move on to a better place.
