Emma Swan’s (Jennifer Morrison) family and friends must speed up their plan of bringing her back to the good side in “Once Upon a Time” Season 5. Everyone in Storybrooke will be in danger if Emma, the new Dark One succeeds in her evil plan involving the Excalibur sword in “Once Upon a Time” Season 5, episode 3 titled “Siege Perilous.”

Spoiler Alert: This feature contains major “Once Upon a Time” Season 5 spoilers.

The upcoming episode’s synopsis on TVGuide teased that Captain Hook (Colin O’Donoghue) and Regina Mills/Evil Queen (Lana Parrilla) will continue in trying to protect and bring Emma back to the good side while in Storybrooke. However, it looks like Hook, Regina and the rest of the Storybrook heroes will have a hard time saving the Dark Swan.

The new season’s second episode titled “The Price” has revealed the Dark Swan’s plan. Emma, who has the Excalibur sword in the basement of her house, plans to make the dagger whole so she can use it to suck out all of the light.

However, Rumpelstiltskin (Robert Carlyle) warned Emma that she must pay the price if she wants the powerful sword as a weapon in her other plans. In the promo video of “Once Upon a Time” Season 5, episode 3, Rumpelstiltskin explains to Emma, who failed in removing King Arthur’s Excalibur sword from the stone, that she needs a hero to pull the sword out.

Hook senses that the new Dark One is up to something but Emma explains that she only needs his trust. The promo video also teases on the impossible quest of Prince Charming/David (Josh Dallas) and King Arthur (Liam Garrigan).

The upcoming episode is also expected to feature more on the other storylines like the heroes’ search for Merlin (Elliot Knight), the relationship between Henry (Jared S. Gilmore) and Violet (Olivia Steele Falconer) as well as what really happened in Camelot that made Emma go to the dark side. “Once Upon a Time” Season 5 returns with episode 3 titled “Siege Perilous” on Sunday night, Oct. 11, at 8/7c on ABC.
